Tommy Europe invites you to Bust a Move for Breast Cancer Research

September 17, 2012 - BC Cancer Foundation

The BC Cancer Foundation is pleased to welcome Tommy Europe, Canada’s most sought-after fitness coach and TV host of the Last 10 Pounds Bootcamp, as Fitness Chair for the epic new event—Bust a Move for Breast Health.

Europe is leading the charge in developing the day-long fitness program that will have participants movin’ and groovin’ through six one-hour fitness sessions at the inaugural Bust a Move on April 13, 2013 at the Richmond Olympic Oval. Europe, who has trained breast cancer patients and survivors, joined Bust a Move motivated to make a difference and help more women survive their diagnosis.

“Cancer can happen to anybody; it takes the young, it takes the old and the faster we can end this disease and save lives—the better,” said Europe, who has lost relatives and friends to cancer.

Participants are getting behind the MOVEment to raise funds for the BC Cancer Foundation, supporting life-saving breast cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency, and Europe will provide a one-on-one personal training session for the top Bust a Move fundraiser.

“I couldn’t think of a better cause and I’m thrilled to be a part of Bust a Move,” added Europe, who will have participants breaking a sweat to his signature SHRED bootcamp on event day.

Whether you’re a fitness buff or new to working out, the Bust a Move program will be enjoyable for people of all fitness levels. The funds raised will advance breakthrough breast cancer research taking place at the BC Cancer Agency that’s not only changing the way the world thinks about breast cancer, it’s changing the way the world treats the disease.

“Tommy brings an incredible passion for fitness and for helping people reach their personal best,” said Douglas Nelson, President & CEO of the BC Cancer Foundation. “Like all of us at the BC Cancer Foundation, Tommy is committed to reducing the number of women who embark on a breast cancer journey each year and to seeing those who are diagnosed transition to a healthy future.”
