By registering an international business (IB) in B.C., a company can receive up to a full refund on provincial corporate taxes paid on the income of the qualifying business (75% on patent income to a maximum of $8 million).

Venture Capital Programs
The Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation's venture capital programs encourage investors to make equity capital investments in British Columbia small businesses that will enhance and diversify the provincial economy. The government recognizes that creating new small businesses and expanding existing ones will contribute to a healthy economy. These programs give small business continuous access to early-stage venture capital to help them develop and expand.

Small Business BC is British Columbia's premiere resource centre for knowledge-based business products and services. Their core activities are supported by funds from Western Economic Diversification Canada and the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation. Through ongoing operations and private sector partnerships, they are able to offer additional products and services to the small business community
B.C. Business Network
The B.C. Business Network is a resource provided by the B.C. Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation’s International Trade and Investment Attraction Division that help local businesses develop new international business opportunities and trade initiatives. For its members, the network serves as a single source of international market news, exporting advice, invitations to export related events and personal introductions to potential partners and clients in key markets.
