Andrew Booth


Andrew Booth is CFO at STEMCELL Technologies in Vancouver, Canada. Andrew joined STEMCELL in 2010 and was appointed CFO in 2013. He is responsible for all corporate finance activities within the company. Andrew joined STEMCELL to lead the development of the Instrumentation Division responsible for all activities relating to the design, development, manufacture, service, quality control, marketing and sales of the Company’s line of automation devices. As Vice President and General Manager, Instrumentation Division, Andrew played a significant role in commercialization of STEMvision™ ClonaCell™ EasyPick, the development of STEMCELL’s plastic wear and building STEMCELL’s own in-house manufacturing and global service capabilities.

Prior to joining STEMCELL, Andrew spent approximately 7 years at General Electric in Koln, Paris, New York, Florence and London in a variety of positions and ending in roles leading Business Development (responsible for mergers, acquisitions, & partnerships) for GE Healthcare’s approximately $4.5 billion revenue Europe, Middle East, & Africa business and GE Healthcare’s approximately 41.8 Billoin global Life Sciences business.

Andrew is a graduate of GE’s Experienced Commercial Leadership Program and completed his MBA at INSEAD, France and completed his degree in Engineering Physics at University of British Columbia. Andrew co-founded Zaber Technologies in Vancouver, which designs, produces and sells micro positioning equipment globally.

Andrew is a Director on the boards of Vancouver based companies Light Integra, Precision Nanosystems and AbCellera and is a frequent volunteer and mentor of the BC New Ventures Business Plan Competition. Andrew was named to Business in Vancouver’s Top Forty under 40 list in 2012.
