Zymeworks adds Dr. Steve Withers to its Scientific Advisory Board

Vancouver, Canada, August 11, 2006 - Zymeworks is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Steve Withers to it Scientific Advisory Board. A joint professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Dr. Withers combines biochemistry, organic chemistry and biophysical chemistry to probe and manipulate the structure and mechanism of enzymes. Dr. Withers has been the recipient of many distinguished awards including the Hoffman LaRoche Award of the Canadian Society of Chemistry, the Charmian Medal Award of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the Corday Morgan Medal of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Dr. Withers has also served as the CEO and Scientific Director of the Canadian Protein Engineering Network of Centres of Excellence (PENCE) from 2000-2005.
