This is the only fully research dedicated magnetic resonance imaging research facility in British Columbia. The Centre has been an essential factor in allowing the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University to attract international pioneers and outstanding young scientists to Canada. These scientists are creating a growing capacity for innovation in application of MR to various biological questions - from trees to brains, including applications to stroke, arthritis, cancer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and dementia.
At our Imaging Centre, we can perform a wide range of possible MR experiments, including conventional imaging, spectroscopy, diffusion, and functional MRI. We also take pride in providing a full range of research support for MR imaging and spectroscopy applications including protocol planning assistance, data collection and guidance with data analysis.
