Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation maps the cell signalling networks of protein kinase enzymes for the treatment, diagnosis and prognosis of human diseases. Protein kinases are the key proteins for communication and control inside cells. Their malfunction has been linked to more than 400 human diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and inflammation. They are of vital importance in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Currently, Kinexus maps the presence and activation states of hundreds of different protein kinases and other signalling proteins in cell and tissue specimens through its Kinetworks(tm) screening services and through its subscription-based proteomics database called KiNET.
