LifeSciences British Columbia is proud to be the lead organizer for the sanofi-aventis BioTalent Challenge (SABC) in BC. This is a high-school competition held nationwide that brings together creative and curious young people interested in solving a problem using biotechnology.
The SABC competition requires students to submit research proposals of their own design for review by a panel of scientists. Once accepted, the students are matched with an appropriate mentor from the scientific community. The mentor program broadens a student’s classroom experience; giving competitors supervised access to research labs.
The competition offers a total of $10,000 shared between the winning students and their schools. The first place winner gets an all expenses-paid trip to Ottawa to participate in the National Competition!
