BC Biotech to Coordinate British Columbia’s Strongest BIO Presence to Date

BC Biotech has been working over the past several months on planning what is sure to be British Columbia’s most effective BIO presence ever. In partnership with our colleagues in industry, academia and government, we have developed a strategy which we believe will be effective in ensuring British Columbia’s biotech industry receives the international profile it deserves.

This year’s BC Pavilion has been completely re-designed to be much more dynamic and conducive to being a central place from which BC organizations can base their BIO activities.

The Pavilion is made up of three distinct yet connected areas – the first offering exhibit space for individual companies and organizations to showcase their technologies; the second being a café area to encourage people to spend time in the booth and meet and network with members of BC’s biotech community; and the third being a presentation area from which BC-based companies and organizations can make their individual pitches to the BIO audience.

The Pavilion however is just one way in which we will be bringing BC’s biotech cluster into the spotlight. We’re also working to ensure that we once again have a strong BC political presence at the conference, and hold several strategic events aimed at making sure our message reach key international audiences.

If you are interested in exhibiting or booking a presentation slot in the Pavilion, or participating with the British Columbia contingent at BIO 2006 in any other way, please contact Barry Gee, (bgee@bcbiotech.ca; 604-602-5226) for more information.
