BC Biotech Leads Biotech Mission to Torino

BC Biotech, together with the Ministry of Economic Development will be hosting a Biotech Day at British Columbia - Canada Place in Torino on January 23, 2006.

British Columbia Biotechnology – Bringing Value to International Partners will showcase BC’s R&D infrastructure capacity, opportunities in  Life Science companies, and fiscal incentives, exit values and cost advantages, associated with doing biotech business in BC.

"BC Biotech recognizes the importance of the European biotechnology industry," said BC Biotech Executive Director Karimah Es Sabar.  "The goal of this mission is to establish valuable and long-lasting relationships between our respective biotech communities."

A delegation of academic, research, industry, venture capital and government representatives led by Minister Colin Hansen and BC Biotech Executive Director Karimah Es Sabar will present to representatives from Europe in the hopes of establishing strategic partnerships, investment and increasing linkages between the two regions.

BioPartnering North America Just Two Weeks Away

BioPartnering North America 2006 is shaping up to be the best yet, with the number of delegates up compared to this time last year and pharma presence increased by over 50% compared to 2005.
