Gowlings professionals Jane Baggott, Principal, Trade Mark Agent; Peter Fairey, Partner; Konrad A. Sechley, Principal, Patent Agent;and Cynthia Shippam-Brett, Patent Agent were on had to speak to attendees in Victoria. Participants enjoyed a full agenda and the opportunity for networking in Victoria.
This half-day workshop addressed issues relating to
commercialization and protection of life sciences technologies with
topics ranging from trade secrets, patents, and trademarks, to
corporate structure, financing and tax. This was a good opportunity for
executives, management and technology transfer professionals working in
the life sciences to review recent developments in legalities relevant
to life sciences companies, and to ensure that their companies are one the
right track towards commercial success.
