Attendees were given an overview of China's life sciences sector, Chinese medical regulations, Intellectual Property Protection, and Tax Law. Held in cooperation with the China division of Reed Exhibition, this seminar will also provide information on an upcoming mission to Hong Kong and mainland China in April 2009 culminating in the China Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) which takes place in Shenzhen every April. Due to the immense resources required to mount a provincial pavilion, LifeSciences BC is refocusing our participation at BIO next year and will not be coordinating a British Columbia Pavilion, but organizations are still offered the opportunity to exhibit within the Canadian pavilion should they not delay.
