RECENT NEWS & EVENTSLifeSciences BC and Members Currently on Mission to China May 23 - 30, 2008 As previously announced, LifeSciences BC is proud to be working with our Provincial Government and members of our academic research community through the University Presidents’ Council to lead a delegation to Beijing and Shanghai, China from May 23rd – 30th, 2008. The Beijing portion of the program is centered around Research and Innovation Week at BC-Canada House being developed in Tiananmen Square in conjunction with the 2008 & 2010 Olympic Games. Read more. Program specifically, has long been identified as a key issue affecting
the developing of our life sciences industry in BC. As such,
LifeSciences BC has been actively engaged in addressing this issue,
ultimately working to improve the environment for patient care,
adoption of innovative technologies, and international investment. In
this context, we are very pleased to share the announcement from the
Ministry of Health with you. This announcement is in response to the
recently-submitted Pharmaceutical Taskforce Report which identifies 12
specific actions to improve the aforementioned environment --
recommendations that have all been accepted by Government, and will
begin to be acted on immediately.
