Canada’s New Government Launches Consultations on Improving Scientific Research and Experimental Development Tax Incentives
The Honourable Jim Flaherty, Minister of Finance, and the Honourable Gordon O’Connor, Minister of National Revenue launched consultations on how to make the scientific research and experimental development (SR&ED) tax incentive program more effective for Canadian business and allow it to play an even greater role in fostering a more competitive and prosperous economy.

LifeSciences BC will be working actively with other local and national technology associations to provide input into this process, and encourages all of our members to lend their voices.

Victoria to Start Funding New Alzheimer's Medicine
The B.C. government will start funding a new Alzheimer's medication this month in a three-year program that will involve 25,000 British Columbians diagnosed with mild to moderate forms of the disease.
