Contest Begins for $165 Million CERC Program A national competition to fund new Centres of Excellence in Commercialization and Research (CECR) was officially launched June 26. New Nonotech Opportunity Launched NSERC and the National Research Council Canada (NRC), in collaboration with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), have jointly issued a call for collaborative R&D proposals involving university researchers and NRC scientists engaged in nanoscience and nanotechnology. Special Call for Strategic Grants Researchers who are interested in energy, environment or information and communications technologies will be given an extraordinary opportunity to expand their efforts if they respond promptly to a special call for proposals under NSERC’s Strategic Project Grants (SPG).
