Business in Vancouver's 40 under 40

Business in Vancouver is seeking B.C.'s outstanding entrepreneurs, executives, managers and professionals in public, and non-profit sectors for its 2007 Forty under 40 awards. Nominees will be short-listed based on a range of criteria, including professional achievement, experience, innovation, leadership and community involvement.

Winners will be profiled in BIV's January 1, 2008 issue and will then be honoured at the newspaper's gala awards reception in February 2008.


Nominations are now being accepted for BIV's 2007 Forty under 40.

Nominators may submit nominations for more than one individual. Self-nominations will also be accepted. Please do not submit multiple nominations for one individual.

Completed nominations (including supporting materials) must be received by Business in Vancouver no later than 5:00pm, September 30, 2007.


Eligibility Criteria:
1. Nominees must be under the age of 40 on December 31, 2007.
2. Nominee's business must be headquartered in British Columbia.


Nomination form questions (Limit 200 words per question.):
1. Full contact information for nominee.
2. Give a brief description of the nominee's professional achievements. Suggestions: include the nominee's recent significant business accomplishment, or past distinctions and awards.
3. Tell us about the nominee's level of expertise. Suggestions: include the nominee's educational qualifications, the name of the institution they graduated from, professional memberships or designations, and years of work in their field.
4. Tell us about the nominee's leadership abilities and experience. Suggestions: demonstration of the nominee's leadership and innovation, how has the company grown because of the nominee's leadership?
5. Tell us about the nominee's community involvement. Suggestions: include positions on boards (charitable organizations or professional organizations), explain the nature of their involvement and how it has advanced the goals of the organization, and include any distinctions and awards for community service.
6. What makes the nominee unique and outstanding?

Supporting Materials:
Supporting materials are not mandatory, but may aid in the judging process. Please email supporting materials to rchu@biv.com.

2. Copy of nominee's curriculum vitae. (Maximum three pages.)
