Medical Device Partnering Program Open to BC Biotech MembersThe Canadian Consulate General in Los Angeles, in collaboration with the Larta Institute, would like to inform you of a medical device partnering program that they are soliciting applications for. The program offers a unique opportunity to tap into a large network of key medical device executives that are often times hard to reach. This 3-phase program will provide selected companies with the opportunity to receive market access mentorship sessions, networking opportunities and live presentation rehearsals in Orange County, CA (host of one of the US's largest medical device clusters) and one-on-one meetings with 3 medical device companies throughout the US.
The Canadian Consulate General in Los Angeles has partnered with the Larta Institute for their profound experience in a variety of high technology sectors. Every year the Larta Institute assists over 200 companies spinning out of the U.S. federal government, 25+ top research universities, and a global network of 18 nations. The Larta Institute does this by managing global technology commercialization programs for innovators while providing investors and large corporations with a pipeline of cutting-edge innovations from leading governments and research institutions.
Please submit your applications to Chris Major, Trade Commissioner, by October 10, 2006. Applicants will be notified of the selection by October 30th. There is a CAD$575 fee to participate, plus travel expenses and fees incurred to set up one-on-one meetings (i.e., long distance and internet charges). Mentorships will take place on November 28th and December 5th; networking and live rehearsals will take place in Orange County, CA on December 12th & 13th; and, one-on-one meetings will be ongoing and scheduled to take place by February 28, 2007.
