BC MedTech Proposes Medical Devices Business Partnering Mission to Paris, France
November 20, 2006

The proposed mission would be broad in scope, with objectives to include the following:

  • encourage partnering between Canadian medical device manufacturers and French firms/organizations
  • expose interested French importers to new or additional Canadian medical device suppliers
  • expose Canadian medical device companies seeking financing to the French venture capital community.

The proposed mission would include:

  • the opportunity for Canadian medical device companies to deliver a short presentation on their company to a selected French audience;

There is also the possibility of site visits to relevant competitiveness clusters in the vicinity of Paris. These competitiveness clusters bring together R&D institutions, training and industry within a single geographical region to work on a common strategy or technology area. The site visits could take place either during the afternoon of Monday, November 20 or on Tuesday, November 21.
