Pfizer Partnering Symposium

The BC Biotechnology Alliance Society (BC Biotech) will hold its Fifteenth Annual General Meeting on Thursday, September 28th, 2006 directly following our Breakfast Speaking Series. BC Biotech Leads Mission to Singapore and JapanFrom September 5 th to 15 th, BC Biotech and five delegates from industry, research, academia and government will be travelling to Singapore and Japan to meet with representatives from the biotech industries of both countries. The objectives of this mission are to execute research collaborations with British Columbia’s academic, not-for-profit and commercialization centres of innovation in the field of biotechnology, explore licensing opportunities for biotechnology companies from BC with Asian corporate pharmaceutical companies, and source out procuring early stage and expansion private capital opportunities.
The delegates will then travel to Tokyo, Japan where they will be involved in a range of meetings, presentations and activities. During their stay in Japan, the delegation will be representing British Columbia at the Biotech-Japan Seminar in Tokyo, having a BC Biotech booth showcasing British Columbia's Biotech cluster at BioJapan, and having a BC Biotech exhibit at JETRO BioLink Forum in Osaka.
