Drs. Julia and Ed Levy co-chairing the Vancouver Community College's Vision for the Future Capital Campaign

Vancouver Community College is pleased to announce that Drs. Julia and Ed Levy are co-chairing the College's Vision for the Future Capital Campaign. Julia Levy is a founder of QLT and its President and CEO from 1995 to 2002. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of QLT and is Executive Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board. Ed Levy was a Senior Vice President with QLT until his retirement in 2002. He is an adjunct professor with the W. Maurice Young Centre for Applied Ethics at the University of British Columbia. Both have been members of many boards in the biotechnology as well as the non-profit sectors.

Julia and Ed Levy are leading a team of community volunteers who are raising $15 million for a new health sciences building as well as renovations and enhancements for the Transportation Trades and Hospitality programs. Members of the Vancouver Community College's Vision for the Future Capital Campaign Cabinet include Gordon Barefoot (Cabgor Management Inc.), Phil Barnes (Fairmont Hotels and Resorts), Stephen Darling (Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts); Dale Dorn (Vancouver Community College), Bob Elton (BC Hydro), Stan Fuller (Earl's Restaurants Ltd.), Rusty Goepel (Raymond James Ltd.), Ida Goodreau (Vancouver Coastal Health), Karim Kassam (Boston Pizza), Kirk Kuester (Colliers International), Graham MacLachlan (RBC Financial Group), Linda Martin (Vancouver Community College), Gottfried "Guff" Muench (Cummins Western Canada), Allan Skidmore (TCG International Inc.) and James Terry (Rocky Mountaineer Vacations). Other key campaign volunteers include Larry Belsito (Ashling Connection Inc.) and Jack Carthy (formerly Finning International).
